A Banner for Brighton Counterculture

For over six decades, Brighton has been a sanctuary for British subculture, a place where people come to live how they want to live, on their own terms.

From the Mods and Rockers who took over the seafront to the explosion of Punk, Hardcore, Jungle, Rave, and modern DIY movements, this city has always been an open-minded stronghold for alternative culture. It has shaped British youth culture just as heavily as any major UK city, yet it’s rarely had a streetwear brand truly reflecting its unique voice and perspective.

Regency exists to give Brighton that voice.

We draw direct inspiration from the UK’s underground history: punk, protest art, local folklore, forgotten underground press archives, subversive street graphics and the chaotic energy of the counterculture scenes that built this town. 

We believe in high-noise visuals, raw halftone textures, and giving Brighton a rep that honours its rebellious roots.

More than clothing, Regency is a platform and a symbol of a city that has always led from the front.
